Her reputation is for providing actionable recommendations and helps ensure results are understood by everyone. During her time at Diageo Jean contributed to the development of many new products and received the Diageo President's Spirit of Supply Award in 2007.
In her drive to remain at the cutting edge of the sensory science field, Jean contributes to international conferences and acts as a reviewer for journals. Jean is a founder member of the European Sensory Network (ESN), and is very proud to have played a role in the development of the field in Europe and further afield. Jean is an active member the ISFT Sensory Sciences Group, the E3S, the Sensometric Society and the Society of Sensory Professionals (SSP) where she was a member of the Professional Development Committee. Jean continues to contribute to the practical application of sensory and consumer methodology, challenging the status quo and ensuring the right trade-off and risk management between best practice and fit for purpose to ensure business needs are met. An excellent trainer, Jean also coaches and mentors sensory professionals and others, contributing to their personal development.
Jean continues to develop her interest in wine and spirits, both professionally and personally. In her spare time, she can be found running, walking and swimming, doing her weekly personal training and finding time to enjoy good food and wine with friends and seeing new places.
